On a quiet lane leading to the sea, North Somercotes Holiday Cottages offer the ideal holiday location for people who want the best modern comforts, the calm of a village on the Lincolnshire coast, and plenty to see and do nearby.

The four cottages are set in peaceful countryside on the edge of the attractive and popular village of North Somercotes, near Louth. Please click on the buttons below for full details on each cottage.

THE GRANARY & THE MILLHOUSE

The Granary and The Millhouse are two lovely cottages
converted from an 18th Century barn. They are both
two bedroom and sleep four people.
 

 

 

NURSERY COTTAGE

Nursery Cottage is a two bedroom, modern,
single storey cottage suitable for four people.

 

       

 THE STABLES

The Stables has one family bedroom

 which can accommodate three people.

 

 

Children are welcome in all the cottages, with an extra folding bed, cot and highchair provided on request. Dogs are welcome (except in The Millhouse).

The cottages also offer free Wi-Fi
Internet access.

 

 

The village of North Somercotes boasts two pubs which serve food, a Pizzeria, a Café, Fish and Chip/ Kebab/ Pizza shop and a Chinese takeaway, together with several convenience stores, all within walking distance. There are also more pubs and restaurants in nearby villages.

There are pleasant walks to be had locally, with the sea a fifteen minute walk away (or two minute drive). Seal pups can be seen in autumn, which attract many visitors. Strolls among the sand dunes are fun for young and old alike and there's also fishing available locally, bird watching and nature reserves to explore. 

 

Also within easy travelling distance are:

  • Louth – picturesque market town

  • Horncastle – antiques capital of Lincolnshire

  • Cleethorpes & Mablethorpe – all the fun of the seaside (plus Pleasure Island)

  • Grimsby – shopping at the big stores, plus the popular Fishing Heritage Centre

  • The Wolds – Lincolnshire’s well known beauty spot

  • Lincoln – fine medieval city with castle and cathedral

  • Hull – home of nationally famous 'The Deep'

  • Lots of quiet, pretty villages to explore.

And for keen gardeners, the cottages have an added attraction – they are close to the owners’ family run plant nursery.

Guests should be aware that there will be nursery customers in the cottage vicinity during opening hours, but they are limited in number and will cause no inconvenience.
